FFVP

FFVP Spanish Dear Families,

We are excited to share that Wilder Elementary School is participating in the USDA Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) starting Tuesday, September 1st!

Through this federally funded program, all students will receive a free, fresh fruit or vegetable snack three times a week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons right in their classrooms. These snacks are served separately from breakfast and lunch, giving kids a healthy energy boost during the school day.

Our goal is to encourage students to explore new flavors, expand their palates, and build lifelong healthy habits. Throughout the year, children will get to sample a wide variety of produce, ranging from classic staples to fun, unique fruits and vegetables they may have never tried before!

You can help us build excitement at home! Ask your child what new fruit or veggie they tried at school each week, and encourage them to keep an open mind about trying new foods.

We look forward to a fresh, healthy, and delicious school year!
